Qualifications LPN Full Job Description Role:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and under RN supervision. Delegate duties to professional and non-professional nursing staff, monitoring work performance. Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental condition changes. Assist with notifying physicians of emergencies and patient deaths. Implement physician orders and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Valid license from the Board of Nursing with proof of renewal every other year. Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage. Ability to deliver quality geriatric nursing care, follow doctor's orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric care. CPR certification renewed annually. Participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
