Licensed Practical Nurse Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse - PNS (LPN) is responsible for direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician in a patient care area. The LPN is responsible for providing exemplary customer service and consistently practicing CMC s core values of excellence, compassion, healing, teamwork, stewardship, innovation, and integrity.Qualifications:
Education Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse program required. Experience Previous outpatient care experience preferred. Previous Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred. Knowledge of nursing theory and practice required. Licensure/Certification/Registration Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as LPN (SCLLR) in good standing required. Compact state license must be in accordance with the compact state regulations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service. Reinforces and documents direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Nursing care is guided by the physician orders and the nursing plan of care. Patient response to care is reported to a registered nurse for evaluation, intervention, and modification of the plan of care. Assists physicians and other nursing personnel in the performance of various diagnostic procedures. Work effectively and collaboratively with coworkers, nursing colleagues, physicians, and department heads. Effectively utilize strong organizational skills. Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required. Regularly exercise independent judgment. The LPN performs functions as noted above and generally with an assigned patient load, but LPN is ready and willing to assist co-workers with any nursing support function and across any case load including other units that may not be the normal primary work assignment.Similar jobs in Conway, SC
