Statement of Purpose The
RN/LPN/MA
provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practice in a confidential manner. Assists the physician with procedures within the clinic, ensuring quality, efficient, caring, and professional care and treatment of the patients. Performs overall
RN/LPN/MA
care, including triage for drop-in and telephoning patients, immunization administration and oversight. The
RN/LPN/MA
provides direct nursing care for individual patients with well-defined nursing diagnoses. The
RN/LPN/MA
communicates with and on behalf of the patient and coordinates patient care with all health team members. Requirements Licensed to practice as an
RN LPN/MA
in the state of South Dakota. Experience working as an
RN/LPN/MA
in a clinic setting. Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months. CPR certified. Consistently requires a high degree of social sensitivity and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare personnel within and outside the agency. Working Conditions Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) lifting of clients and equipment. Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease. Failure to comply with standards of nursing care of HRMC may result in consequences to continued employment. Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
