Carey Counseling Center, Inc. was established in 1970 as a not-for-profit community behavioral health center. Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct examinations, provide direct treatment services, and review medical/psychiatric/psychological histories. Recommend referral to appropriate inpatient or to other treatment resources if beyond the scope of the Center's services. Review treatment plans and sign treatment plans to initiate, continue or discontinue services. 4. Consult actively with Center staff regarding treatment of clients in the Center's care. Provide back-up consultations to Center On-Call staff providing emergency services. Maintain licensure and certification. Participate in quality assurance activities as evidenced by participation in the identification and resolution of problems identified by quality assurance activities, such as qualitative and quantitative peer review, direct observation, and other quality assurance monitors in place. Assist in the promulgation of medical/psychiatric policies and procedures, consult with the medical staff and designated administrative staff members regarding the quality of medical services. Assist in the scheduling and transportation for all residents. Follow all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies. Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others. Other assigned duties by supervisor or management to meet the needs of the organization.
Position Qualifications:
Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Tennessee with all related credentials as a licensed practicing nurse.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, walking, turning, twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (<20lbs), manual use of keyboard and other office equipment; must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Physical requirements in this section are considered essential functions of the job to perform the job responsibilities.
