As an LVN at Avir, you will play a vital role in providing direct nursing care to our residents, while also supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of your assigned unit. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treatments, and IVs as ordered by physicians Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of your assigned unit, ensuring Residents' Rights are maintained and Federal, State, and local standards are met Interpret policies and procedures to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies, and other stakeholders Ensure that nursing personnel are following their job descriptions and that reference materials are maintained at the nurses' station Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of care plans, assessments, and treatment schedules Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure timely administration of medications and treatments Provide support and guidance to nursing personnel, including LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Demonstrate a commitment to quality care, resident safety, and satisfaction Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records and reports Requirements Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing Valid State license to practice nursing IV certification preferred Ability to write and speak the English language in an understandable manner Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care Leadership and supervisory ability, with a willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures Physical, cognitive, and sensory requirements include walking, reaching, bending, grasping, pushing, and pulling, with the ability to lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds What We Offer Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and disability coverage Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional growth and development A supportive and collaborative work environment The satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of our residents How to Apply If you are a motivated and dedicated healthcare professional looking for a fulfilling career, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
