Job Description

Overview:
seeking dedicated Psychatric LVN/LPNs for a 6-month contract assignment working 40 hours per week. Multiple openings are available across day, evening, and night shifts. Nurses will provide direct patient care while supporting individuals in a state-supported living center environment. Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered LVN/LPN license Available shifts: 2nd

9:45 PM - 6:15 AM Responsibilities Psych Experience is required Lead and coordinate nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care across various departments, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterization with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Oversee medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to maintain accurate patient records. Manage emergency situations including airway management, acute pain management, and ventilator support while maintaining composure under pressure. Facilitate discharge planning, case management, and coordinate with physicians for diagnostic evaluations such as medical imaging or laboratory testing. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times while fostering a culture of infection control and aseptic technique.
