Nursing Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. As an LVN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with various medical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Assist with medical procedures, including wound care, ostomy care, and airway management
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
  • Current LVN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in pain management, pediatrics, ostomy care, and airway management is preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
