Job Description
Role:
Under supervision, provides professional nursing care to clinic patients, collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure quality care.Key Responsibilities:
Performs general nursing duties, administers treatments, and assists with patient examinations and testing. Prepares equipment, observes and reports patient conditions, and records vital signs and reactions. Manages appointment scheduling, prioritizes emergency cases, and maintains patient flow. Greets patients, obtains medical histories, prepares for exams, and instructs on sample collection and tests. Performs various clinical procedures including specimen collection, wound care, medication administration, and patient education, in accordance with licensure and training. Coordinates patient testing, admissions, and transfers; responds to phone inquiries, refills, and prescriptions. Maintains documentation, updates patient care plans, and manages patient records securely. Ensures exam rooms are prepared, participates in meetings, and engages in professional development. Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA policies, and organizational guidelines, supporting a diverse and ethical work environment.Qualifications & Skills:
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state or compact agreement. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proficiency in clinical procedures, patient communication, and documentation. Ability to perform tasks with proper training, including blood draws, injections, EKGs, and other procedures. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.Benefits
