In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care in an Urgent Care setting. Your expertise in nursing practices, patient assessment, and medical documentation will ensure optimal health outcomes for diverse patient populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with complex health needs while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols and medication management. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and medical imaging procedures. Manage airway maintenance, ventilator support, catheterization procedures, and sterile techniques to ensure patient safety. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Requirements Valid LVN license in the state of employment with current certification. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and CPT coding for procedures. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders. Ability to perform complex nursing procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of infection control protocols and experience in various healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU/ER), outpatient clinics, hospice care or home & community care environments.
