Nurse management Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and well-being through skilled nursing interventions and thorough assessments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of diverse patient populations while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Manage complex care procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator management, and wound suturing with precision and aseptic technique. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or acute pain. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure medical records are complete and compliant with healthcare standards. Conduct patient education on medication administration, health coaching, discharge planning, and disease management tailored to individual needs. Support triage activities by evaluating urgent cases in emergency or urgent care settings; assist in infection control practices and specimen collection/processing. Assist in specialized areas such as hospice care, neonatal ventilator management, or pediatric nursing when required. Experience Valid LVN license with current state licensure required; additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and IV insertion preferred. Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (ICU, ER, trauma centers), nursing homes, long-term care facilities, or outpatient clinics. Critical care experience with familiarity in ICU procedures like ventilator management and cardiac catheterization is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures like suturing or dermal fillers is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; familiarity with dementia or Alzheimer's care enhances your ability to deliver compassionate support. Ability to perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques and specimen collection efficiently in fast-paced settings such as outpatient clinics or inpatient units.
