Key responsibilities include:
Performing nursing duties such as injections, medication administration, EKGs, phlebotomy, and procedures within state scope. Implementing patient education plans and coordinating care including referrals, medications, and follow-ups. Documenting assessments, preparing patients for exams, and relaying information to providers. Performing focused assessments, evaluating patient responses, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Maintaining a safe environment, ensuring patient confidentiality, and practicing infection control. Managing medications, immunizations, lab sample collection, and IV therapy if certified.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, with an active and unrestricted LVN/LPN license. Current BLS certification; IV certification if required. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and electronic medical records. Strong communication, customer service, and emergency response skills. Ability to perform medical procedures, give injections, and draw blood. Must meet health screening requirements, including immunizations and TB testing.Preferred qualifications include:
IV certification and 2+ years of medical experience. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding. This role requires physical dexterity, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and occasional exposure to communicable diseases.
