Skills Valid state licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse with current certification to practice independently in the field. Extensive experience working with diverse populations with pediatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions such as acute pain or infectious diseases. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Axxess for documentation and clinical workflows. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and long-term care regulations. Skilled in performing clinical procedures including venipuncture, IV insertion/infusion, catheterization, tube feeding management, and airway management. Experience working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals (Level I Trauma Center or ICU experience preferred), skilled nursing facilities, hospice care environments, or home & community care. Ability to triage patient needs effectively through assessment of symptoms like acute pain or infectious disease symptoms; capable of providing first aid and emergency response when necessary. Excellent caregiver communication skills to work collaboratively with patients' families and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
