Job Description
Nurse RN/LPN South Jordan, UT Full-time Full-time Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Nurse RN/LPN, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse settings. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and outpatient clinics. Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following established protocols and safety standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Assist with medical procedures including catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, suturing, and sterile processing techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and patient education to ensure continuity of care. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while delivering compassionate patient care. Requirements Valid RN or LPN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for medical documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal ventilator management, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation procedures. Ability to perform complex patient assessments and respond effectively to acute pain management needs or emergency situations such as airway management or ventilator support. Strong skills in medication administration, phlebotomy, injection techniques, specimen collection/processing, and infection control practices. Excellent communication skills for working with patients of all ages—including children and infants—and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
