Blacksburg, VA Job Type:
Full-Time Key Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to residents. Assess residents' needs and provide care according to established care plans and clinical standards. Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the scope of licensure. Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns appropriately. Document resident care, assessments, medications, treatments, and changes in condition accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents. Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements. Respond appropriately to resident needs and emergencies. Support residents' dignity, independence, comfort, and overall quality of life. Communicate effectively during shift changes and maintain continuity of care. Perform other nursing duties consistent with the scope of practice and position requirements. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Current, unrestricted LPN license in Virginia in good standing. Strong interest in providing care to older adults. Long-term care/SNF experience preferred but not required. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment. Registered Nurse (RN) Current, unrestricted RN license in Virginia in good standing. Strong interest in providing care to older adults. Long-term care/SNF experience preferred but not required. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Experience 1-3 years of long-term care experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with experience in skilled nursing, nursing homes, assisted living, rehabilitation, or other senior-care settings are encouraged to apply.
