Major Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Responsible for providing direct resident care and supervision of resident care work of non-licensed team members in the skilled nursing operations and other areas throughout the community as appropriate Ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance while promoting the highest degree of quality care and service Overseeing coordination of residents' health and wellness needs Working closely with family members and consulting with community physician(s) to ensure residents' needs are being attended to in a personalized way Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the overall operations of the Nursing Services department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations. Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation. Participates in all admission decisions. Participates in daily or weekly management team meetings to discuss census changes, resident changes in status, complaints or concerns. Evaluates work performance of all nursing personnel and implements discipline according to operational policies. Participate in QAPI or facility assessment activities as needed, such as carrying out duties assigned as part of a performance improvement committee Facilitates, serves, attends or participates in various committees of the facility as appointed.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Active/unrestricted LPN license Active CPR/BLS Long term care experience is preferred 1-2 years experience in skilled nursing preferred Requires proficiency in technology-driven patient care and HRIS and timekeeping/attendance software. Must be able to speak, read and write in
