5 Description American Traveler is hiring an LPN/LVN for a 13-week long-term care (LTC) assignment in Wytheville, VA, working day shifts in a skilled nursing and rehab setting. Details Work setting includes a skilled nursing facility (SNF) and rehabilitation unit Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (3x12-hour shifts) Every other weekend is required EMR system: PointClickCare (preferred experience) Requirements Current Virginia LPN license required if applicable Current BLS/CPR certification required, or willingness to obtain prior to start LTC or SNF experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply Strong clinical judgment, reliability, and a positive attitude Additional Information Administer medications and treatments including oral, IM, SQ, inhaled, ear/eye drops, and NG/G-tube medications Perform wound care, simple dressing changes, and wound vac management Monitor and manage Foley catheters, collect specimens, and perform phlebotomy Conduct vital sign monitoring including heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respirations Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary care teams to support residents' physical, emotional, and psychological well-being Maintain accurate patient medical histories, charts, and documentation in accordance with applicable standards and regulations 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
