Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Bring your skills as a compassionate and detail-oriented LPN to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a young student in a school environment near Bellevue, WA. This role allows you to make an immediate impact during summer learning and continue supporting the student as she transitions into the new school year. You'll begin by providing care in a preschool summer program, working closely with a 5-year-old female student who is trach- and vent-dependent but otherwise active and mobile. In the upcoming academic year, your care continues through full-time kindergarten, offering both consistency and growth in your professional journey.
Key Qualifications:
Active LPN or LVN license in Washington State Previous nursing experience in Pediatrics, school settings, or with trach/vent patients highly preferred Ability to respond quickly, prioritize student safety, and provide personalized care Comfortable working as part of a school-based multidisciplinary team Strong communication and documentation skills Reliable, organized, and compassionate approach
Responsibilities:
Attend to the daily health needs of a single student, focusing on trach and vent care Administer medication, monitor respiratory equipment, and assist with mobility Collaborate with educators, therapists, and family to support the student's educational and health goals Document vital signs, interventions, and any changes in the student's status Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and privacy policies This assignment begins July 7th through July 30th (Tuesday through Thursday, approximately 8 am - 12 pm, possible 7:30-12:30 with transportation). Then, transition to a full-time schedule for the school year starting September 8th, with standard kindergarten classroom hours.
