Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Take your expertise as a Licensed Practical Nurse and make a meaningful difference supporting a vibrant young learner. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding position working with a preschool-aged student during summer school, transitioning in the upcoming school year to a full-time Kindergarten role. You'll join a collaborative school team, making a powerful impact on the life of a spirited 5-year-old girl who is trach and vent dependent—yet active and full of energy. What we're looking for: Active LPN/LVN license and eligibility to work as a school nurse Experience with pediatric trach and vent care is essential Comfortable working one-on-one with students and collaborating with school staff Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality nursing support in an educational setting Flexibility to adapt schedule with changing school program needs Strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills Your responsibilities will include: Delivering direct nursing care centered on the student's unique needs, including tracheostomy and ventilator management Monitoring and supporting student health during classroom and activity periods Training/working with teachers and support personnel as needed for seamless care integration Ensuring compliance with care plans, school policy, and nursing best practices Supporting safe transitions between home, school, and transportation This role begins with a summer school assignment (July 7-30, three mornings weekly) and continues into the following school year, expanding to a full-time Kindergarten assignment. With exposure to both preschool and elementary settings, you'll enjoy a variety in daily activities and the chance to build relationships over time.
