Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a child's life while expanding your skills as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a vibrant school setting. This contracted opportunity begins in the summer and continues into the next school year, offering both part-time and full-time hours near Kent, WA. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, supporting young students' health needs so they can thrive in the classroom.
Key Qualifications:
Current LPN/LVN license in Washington Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred Comfortable caring for children with tracheostomies and ventilators Expertise in health assessments, emergency interventions, and respiratory care Clear communication skills and ability to work independently Strong organizational abilities and reliability
Position Highlights:
Provide direct care for an energetic 5-year-old student with complex medical needs (trach/vent), supporting her during summer Pre-K and through Kindergarten Work closely with educators and parents to support educational and developmental goals Implement and monitor individualized health plans Administer medications and routine medical procedures as needed Assess and respond to health emergencies promptly Ensure safe transport and well-being during school hours Part-time summer schedule: Tue/Wed/Thu, 8am-12pm (transportation may extend hours slightly) Transition to full-time, five days per week, starting in September Continued opportunity through the 2026-2027 school year Enjoy a welcoming environment where your expertise supports young learners, working in a school community that values collaboration and quality care.
