Our client is looking for a 1:1 school nurse for a local middle school. Contract Length - 9/2/2026-6/17/2027

Nurse will be required to ride the bus with the student to and from the student's residence, (a group home for medically fragile students) The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with Washington State, delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed provider. The LPN supports patients with routine, predictable healthcare needs and assists RNs in more complex situations. Key Responsibilities Provide Direct Nursing Care — Deliver care in routine, stable clinical situations, recognizing and meeting basic patient needs. Administer Medications & Treatments — Perform tasks allowed under WAC 246‑840‑705, including medication administration and selected treatments. Implement Nursing Regimens — Carry out selected aspects of the nursing plan as delegated by an RN or licensed provider. Monitor Patient Status — Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition to supervising clinicians. Support Complex Care — Assist RNs in complex or rapidly changing clinical situations. Maintain Compliance — Follow WABON standards, infection control protocols, and organizational policies. Collaborate with Care Teams — Work interdependently with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care. Required Qualifications Active Washington State LPN license in good standing Graduation from an approved practical nursing program. Current CPR/BLS certification. Ability to perform nursing tasks within the LPN scope Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Washington healthcare settings (schools, clinics, LTC, home health, or hospitals). Familiarity with WABON guidance, including the Scope of Practice Decision Tree. Experience supporting diverse populations and trauma‑informed care practices.
