Detox, Substance Use & Mental Health Job Type:
Full-Time /
Part-Time Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a background in detox, substance use treatment, and mental health to join our growing clinical team. This role focuses on providing direct patient care in a detox and residential treatment setting , supporting individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions .
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and monitor patients in a detoxification (detox) setting Assess and document withdrawal symptoms (CIWA, COWS preferred) Provide nursing care for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and clinical staff Respond to medical needs and emergencies in a timely manner Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems Support a structured, safe, and therapeutic environment
Qualifications:
Active LPN license (Wisconsin ) Experience in detox, behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, or psychiatric nursing required Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Experience:
Experience with co-occurring disorders (mental health + substance use) Familiarity with detox protocols, CIWA/COWS scales Previous experience in inpatient, residential, or addiction treatment settings
Schedule:
Day, evening, and overnight shifts available Flexible scheduling options
