Every 3rd Weekend Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a correctional healthcare team in Wisconsin. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing care to an underserved patient population while working in a structured, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced correctional setting. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care to incarcerated patients in accordance with established nursing standards and facility policies. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed providers. Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment. Perform intake screenings, health assessments, and ongoing patient evaluations. Assist with chronic disease management and routine healthcare services. Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and urgent patient needs. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records. Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, mental health professionals, and security staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Adhere to infection control, safety, and security protocols at all times. Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness. Qualifications Required Current, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Minimum 1 year of correctional nursing experience .
