Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Alaska Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional massage therapy services designed to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being. Your expertise will help clients achieve their health goals through personalized treatment plans, utilizing a variety of massage techniques. Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and myofacial release. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop customized treatment plans. Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout each session. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, including client progress and any relevant medical or physiological information. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized treatment area in compliance with health regulations. Stay current on industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology to enhance service quality. Promote a positive client experience by delivering excellent customer service and fostering a welcoming environment. Experience Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification. Strong knowledge of anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Experience working with diverse populations and understanding pain management strategies. Familiarity with medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health is preferred. CPR certification is required for safety compliance. Prior experience in med spas or wellness centers is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for ongoing learning is essential.
