Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Educate clients on the benefits of different massage modalities and provide guidance on self-care practices. Maintain accurate documentation of each session, including client notes and treatment progress. Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols, including CPR certification requirements. Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns, explain procedures, and foster a positive experience. Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management. Skills Strong patient service orientation with excellent client communication skills. Proficiency in various massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage modalities. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health. Experience in patient assessment and pain management strategies tailored to individual needs. Ability to work effectively within occupational health settings or med spa environments. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. CPR certification and adherence to safety standards are required; additional certifications in sports or trigger point therapy are a plus.
