Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient service and assessment, with a focus on delivering therapeutic massage treatments that promote pain relief and overall well-being. Duties Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address patient needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual conditions. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments. Educate clients on pain management strategies and recommend suitable therapies for ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient progress, and treatment outcomes. Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in treatment areas in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to optimize patient care. Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist. Current Liability Insurance Proven experience in patient service, with a focus on therapeutic massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Experience in pain management and occupational health is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately. Prior med spa experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with aesthetic or wellness treatments. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining professionalism at all times. Reliability in work shift & time management. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to licensing requirements.
