Sabino Recovery places an emphasis on trauma as the root cause of many unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior. Offers a truly individualized treatment experience As a Massage Therapist you will be responsible for helping patients recover from injuries or deal with chronic pain. Some of the main duties and responsibilities a Massage Therapist will likely include: Knead and massage muscles and soft tissue Assess the root cause of pain Utilize a wide range of manipulation techniques to reduce pain Keep excellent records of patient health and treatment options Explain the causes of pain to each patient clearly and properly explain how to complete strengthening exercises at home Increase a patient's range of motion Work with or contact other health care providers as needed to ensure the patient receives the best quality care Promote relaxation for clients to ensure the maximum benefit of the massage Master's Degree in behavioral health related field. A minimum of 2-years' experience in Behavioral Health or Behavioral Health Related Field (includes psychology, sociology/social work, counseling (including chemical dependency), nursing, patient care, and social/human services-related fields with focus on behavioral health. Current license to practice in AZ (LMFT, LCSW, LMSW or Masters level equivalent) EMDR certification a plus Somatic Experiencing Trained is a plus Current Fingerprint Clearance Current CPR/First Aid certification Clear TB screening
