San Marcos, CA Job Overview We are seeking a polished, professional, and guest-focused Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) to join our luxury wellness team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced therapist who thrives in a high-end hospitality environment and is passionate about creating exceptional, personalized wellness experiences. Unlike traditional spa settings, our therapists provide treatments within private guest accommodations, creating a more exclusive, customized, and hospitality-driven experience. We are looking for a therapist who is confident working independently, maintains the highest professional standards, and enjoys serving a discerning clientele. What You'll Do Provide exceptional massage treatments tailored to each guest's individual needs and preferences. Deliver in-room massage services with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. Create a relaxing and memorable luxury wellness experience for every guest. Review guest health information and identify contraindications before performing services. Maintain treatment supplies, sanitation standards, and equipment in accordance with company policies and industry regulations. Protect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, wellness, and guest care. Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities. Required Qualifications Mandatory Legal Qualifications Current California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) Certification required. Must hold an active and valid Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) certification. Must possess and maintain an original CAMTC-issued identification card and wear it while on duty as required. Minimum 500 hours of massage therapy education from a CAMTC-approved school. Ability to successfully complete required background screening and maintain eligibility for CAMTC certification. Proof of current professional liability insurance coverage (AMTA, ABMP, or equivalent) required. Professional Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of professional massage therapy experience preferred. Previous experience in a luxury resort, destination spa, wellness retreat, or high-end hospitality environment strongly preferred. Proficiency in multiple massage modalities is highly desirable, including: Swedish Deep Tissue Sports Therapy Healing Stone Lymphatic Drainage Thai Reflexology Craniosacral Prenatal Exceptional guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently. Physical Requirements Ability to perform multiple customized massage sessions per shift while maintaining proper body mechanics and stamina. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times. Availability Requirements This is an on-call position with scheduling based on business demand. Candidates must have open and flexible availability, including: Weekdays and weekends Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts Holidays As a luxury resort operating 365 days per year, team members must be available to support business needs, including holiday periods. Hours are not guaranteed and typically range from approximately 4-24 hours per week.
