Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual patient needs, including trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their condition, history, and treatment goals Educate patients on pain management strategies and post-treatment care instructions Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including techniques used and patient responses Communicate clearly with patients to ensure comfort, address concerns, and explain treatment plans using appropriate medical terminology Stay current with industry best practices and expand skills in areas such as physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist or equivalent credential Proven experience in massage therapy with a focus on patient service and client communication Knowledge of trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, Swedish massage, and pain management techniques is a bonus. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and occupational health principles Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop effective treatment plans Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to client care Prior experience working with VA veterans or auto injury patients is highly desirable but not required.
