Licensed Massage Therapist Location:
Wilmington, DE Schedule:
Part-time, with the opportunity to grow
Compensation:
$30+, based on experience and performance, (Commission+ hourly + tips) Reports to: Spa Management About the Role We are a growing beauty and wellness business offering massage therapy, facials, makeup services, foot-soak treatments, lash extensions, and more. We are looking for a dependable, professional Licensed Massage Therapist who takes client appointments seriously and delivers a consistently excellent experience. This role is a strong fit for someone who arrives prepared, starts appointments on time, listens carefully to clients, and works well as part of a small team. We need someone who can be trusted to care for clients without constant reminders or supervision.
What You Will Own:
Reliable, On-Time Appointments You will arrive early enough to prepare your treatment room and be ready before your first client. You will begin services on time, complete the full scheduled treatment, and communicate immediately if an emergency could affect an appointment. An Excellent Client Experience You will provide safe, attentive, and professional massage services based on each client's needs. You will listen to what clients say, pay attention to how they move and respond, and adjust the service appropriately. Client Retention and Recommendations You will help clients understand which services, treatment frequency, or enhancements may support their goals. Recommendations should always be thoughtful, appropriate, and focused on what will genuinely benefit the client. Professional Communication and Timekeeping You will follow company procedures for attendance, schedule changes, clocking in and out, and recording breaks. You will communicate clearly and early rather than waiting until a problem affects a client or coworker. Team Contribution You will keep your treatment room clean, stocked, and ready for the next appointment. You will support shared tasks, treat coworkers respectfully, accept feedback, and help create a calm and professional environment. What Success Looks Like Within your first 90 days: You consistently arrive early and are ready before appointments begin. At least 95% of your appointments start on time. Clients feel heard, respected, and well cared for. You follow attendance, communication, and timekeeping procedures without reminders. Client complaints and service recovery issues are rare. Clients begin rebooking and requesting you by name. You contribute positively to the team and can be trusted with your schedule. Required Qualifications Active massage therapy license or certification required by the state. Knowledge of sanitation, client draping, contraindications, and professional boundaries. Ability to provide safe, consistent massage services. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Reliable transportation. Ability to arrive before scheduled appointments. Willingness to follow attendance, call-out, break, and timekeeping procedures. Ability to maintain client confidentiality. Availability during some of our highest-demand appointment times. Compensation and Growth Compensation is expected to fall around $30+ commission per service+ hourly +Tips , depending on experience, client retention, reliability, and performance, plus tips.
