Job Description

Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch, located in Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Massage Therapist! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Compensation and Schedule:
Full-time and part-time shifts available. 60% commission plus tips.
General Purpose:
Performs massage therapy on clients utilizing various modalities and assures the enjoyment and satisfaction of salon patrons.
Essential Duties:
Greet visitors to the salon in a prompt, courteous manner Administer client's health history and release forms to all new clients Evaluate client's health history by asking pertinent questions to become aware if contraindications exist Discuss client's needs, expectations and past experience with massage prior to performing the service Perform various types of massages on clients utilizing different modalities including but not limited to: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Therapeutic, Reflexology and Shiatsu Provide educated explanation of massage techniques used Offer suggestions for overall health and general wellbeing after the massage (e.g., stretches, yoga, or referral to a physician) while noting that a massage therapist cannot prescribe or diagnose a client's condition Operate salon computer accurately and properly book all appointments for all salon staff when scheduled and during the absence of the receptionist Answer incoming phone calls promptly and in a polite, courteous manner when scheduled and during the absence of the receptionist Maintain a professional, service-oriented demeanor Incorporate safe work practices in job performance Regular and reliable attendance Perform other duties as required
Education/Experience:
Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility; and three to six months of related experience and/or training.
Physical Demands:
Frequently uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, talks, hears, stands and walks Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes or smells Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in hot, wet or humid conditions (non-weather) Noise level is moderate
Certificates/Licenses:
Current State Massage Therapist license and other creditable certificates, CPR and First Aid Certification.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associate may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for the equipment the associate may use are in English).
