Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to assess patient needs and provide effective therapeutic treatments. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service while utilizing various massage techniques to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This is a part-time position; we are looking for specific days and times Monday and Wednesday - must be able to work until 6pm Friday 9:00-3:00 Options to progress towards full-time in the future. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and treatment plans. Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation techniques. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and organized treatment space, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Provide education to patients regarding self-care techniques and pain management strategies. Collaborate with other health professionals in a med spa setting to enhance patient care. Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring a welcoming environment for all clients. Qualifications Certification from an accredited massage therapy program. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Experience in pain management techniques and patient assessment is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Familiarity with various massage modalities including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. A passion for promoting health and wellness through therapeutic touch.
