Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with the ability to assess patient needs and provide tailored massage therapies. This role is essential in promoting relaxation, relieving pain, and enhancing overall well-being for our clients. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and preferences. Provide various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities as appropriate. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with clients and healthcare professionals. Create a safe and comfortable environment for clients during sessions. Document treatment plans and progress notes accurately. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as necessary. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the treatment area. Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment decisions. Proficient in medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices. Excellent patient assessment skills to tailor treatments effectively. Exceptional customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction. Understanding of occupational health principles related to massage therapy. Experience with deep tissue massage techniques and trigger point therapy is preferred. Familiarity with med spa environments is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs and treatment options.
