Duties Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and tension, lymphatic drainage to reduce inflammation and swelling, Swedish to relieve stress and promote relaxation. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, mobility issues, and treatment preferences. Develop customized treatment plans based on physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and anatomy understanding to optimize client outcomes. Educate clients on self-care practices, occupational health tips, and lifestyle adjustments to support ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including patient progress and treatment notes, adhering to confidentiality standards. Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by following proper sanitation protocols and adhering to state licensing requirements. Collaborate with clients to set realistic goals for pain management and overall health improvement through massage therapy. Skills Strong patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and active listening. Bilingual is a bonus as we have many Spanish Speaking patients. Expertise in patient assessment techniques to identify specific areas of tension or discomfort. Proficiency in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced modalities for effective pain relief. Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices. Excellent customer service skills that foster trust and build lasting client relationships. Knowledge of occupational health principles to tailor treatments for work-related stress or injuries. Experience in medical spa environments is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with holistic wellness approaches.
