Job Description
Part-time position available. Summary Provides outstanding service to our members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner. All members and guests must feel as if they are greeted and treated as a VIP throughout their entire spa experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Arrives to work with ample time to assist with preparation of infused waters and to setup treatment rooms to begin member services promptly as scheduled. Welcomes all members and guests by name and introduces themselves to all new members. Engages client in conversation to confirm services and preferences and determines treatment based on individual problems and needs to provide maximum benefit to client. Completes paperwork including waivers and release documents and records each service on client intake forms. Keeps accurate records and files accordingly. Explains treatment procedures and provides information about products used during the service and is prepared to make appropriate retail recommendations. Performs high-quality spa services (massage and body treatments) to help clients relieve pain, rehabilitate injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, relax, and aid in their general wellness. Ensures that all treatments are carried out according to regulatory and Club standards and follows all Ibis service protocols including greeting, timing, and escort to and from treatment room. Provides clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, and overall relaxation. May use aides such as hot stones, wet compresses, and ice when needed. Performs services within allotted time frame for each treatment as outlined in the service menu and protocols. Encourages pre-booking and anticipates requested/repeat clients' needs and preferences. Remains current of services and products offered by The Spa and participates in and promotes events, specials, and retail products to members/guests. Maintains the treatment rooms in a neat and professional manner. Stocks products and linens. Cleans, disinfects and/or sterilizes equipment and instruments. Prepares treatment room for next client and/or therapist. Closes room at end of shift following Spa guidelines provided during orientation. Other Functions Keeps current of industry trends and education. Shares new program ideas with Spa Manager. Presents a professional and well groomed appearance. Company issued name tag and uniforms must be worn at all times. Uniform must be laundered and pressed. Attends training classes and product learning sessions as requested. Assists with opening and closing procedures. Inspects all rooms for cleanliness and appearance. Assists with folding and stocking of all linens utilized throughout The Spa. Attends staff meetings as requested by Spa Manager. Complies with attendance rules and follows schedule as posted. Arrives thirty (30) minutes prior to scheduled work time. May be required to stay beyond work schedule as needed. Participates in testing of spa services; including written and practical testing. Notifies Spa Manager when spa supplies are needed.
