Job Description
Job description Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them improve their overall well-being and alleviate pain. If you have a passion for healing and a desire to make a positive impact on others, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities
- Perform various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sleep massage, sports massage, prenatal, hot stone, aromatherapy and Swedish massage,
- Assess client needs and create personalized treatment plans
- assess medical history to determine appropriate massage techniques
- Provide exceptional client service, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout the session
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and exercises to promote long-term wellness
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety guidelines
- Arrive on location before the appointment time.
- Have exceptional and clear communication skills Skills To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Acute pain management: Ability to effectively manage acute pain conditions through targeted massage techniques
- Anatomy knowledge: In-depth understanding of human anatomy and how it relates to massage therapy
- Deep tissue massage: Proficiency in deep tissue massage techniques to address chronic muscle tension and pain
- Pain management: Knowledge of various pain management strategies and the ability to apply them during massage sessions
- Trigger point therapy: Skill in identifying and treating trigger points to relieve muscle pain and tension
- Patient service: Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction
- Physiology knowledge: Understanding of human physiology and its relationship to massage therapy
- Occupational health: Familiarity with occupational health guidelines and the ability to maintain a safe working environment
- Patient assessment: Ability to assess patient conditions and adapt treatment plans accordingly
- Must be able to drive to the clients.
- Must have a mobile massage table & profession products to complete the appointments.
