Duties Perform customized massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to target specific areas of pain or tension Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and therapy outcomes in compliance with medical terminology standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex or chronic conditions Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to occupational health standards and sanitation protocols Stay updated on the latest massage techniques, industry best practices, and relevant medical research to continually enhance service quality Skills Strong patient service skills with a focus on empathetic communication and active listening In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy Proficiency in performing deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other specialized techniques for pain management Ability to assess patient needs accurately through comprehensive evaluations and adapt treatments accordingly Excellent customer service skills to build trust and foster long-term client relationships Familiarity with occupational health standards and best practices for maintaining hygiene and safety in a medical spa setting Prior experience in med spa environments is highly desirable for understanding industry-specific protocols Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise transforms lives!
