Will be determined based on experience (typically an hourly rate plus a percentage commission on services completed)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our Opal Gene Skin Studio. The ideal candidate is dedicated to promoting wellness through customized massage treatments while providing outstanding customer service. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a relaxing and sanitary spa environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of massage modalities, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, and specialty treatments (as licensed and trained). Assess clients' needs and recommend appropriate treatments based on health history and wellness goals. Maintain accurate and confidential client records. Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend wellness products or services. Promote spa services, retail products, and membership programs when appropriate. Adhere to all state licensing requirements, safety regulations, and spa policies. Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients by delivering high-quality service and personalized attention. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms and equipment, adhering to all health and safety standards with opening and closing duties. Including following a weekly/monthly cleaning schedule for the whole spa. Work closely with other estheticians and spa managers to ensure smooth operations and positive client experience. Participate in team building activities and support other practitioners when necessary. Keep up to date with the latest skincare trends, products, and techniques through ongoing education and training. Be available to take photos and videos for promotional purposes as needed for social media and advertising.
Qualifications:
Current Massage Therapy License in good standing. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred). Knowledge of multiple massage techniques and body mechanics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong commitment to client satisfaction and wellness.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Perform multiple massage sessions per shift. Lift up to 25 pounds. Use proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a spa or wellness setting. Certification in specialty massage techniques. Sales experience in retail or spa products. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
