Responsibilities Perform various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and develop tailored treatment plans. Educate clients on massage benefits, aftercare instructions, and self-care strategies to maximize results. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information in compliance with privacy regulations. Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and proper equipment maintenance. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals and provide exceptional customer service throughout each session. Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education to enhance your skills in physiology knowledge, medical terminology, pain management techniques, and new massage modalities. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice legally. Proven experience delivering a variety of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient needs and apply appropriate techniques. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate and build rapport with diverse populations. Prior experience working in med spas or clinical settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
