We are looking for a talented and passionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate combines excellent technical ability with a warm, professional approach and understands how to create an elevated spa experience from the moment a guest enters the treatment room. What You'll Do Provide exceptional, customised massage treatments based on each guest's individual needs and preferences. Perform a range of massage modalities, including Swedish, deep tissue and therapeutic massage. Incorporate techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy and assisted stretching, where appropriate. Conduct thoughtful guest consultations to understand areas of concern, treatment goals, preferences and relevant health considerations. Create a relaxing, welcoming and luxurious treatment environment. Educate guests on appropriate wellness, recovery and self-care recommendations. Maintain accurate and confidential guest treatment notes. Prepare, clean and reset treatment rooms to Salternative Spa's standards between appointments. Follow all sanitation, hygiene, safety and professional practice requirements. Work collaboratively with our spa and wellness team to provide a seamless guest experience. Develop strong relationships with guests and encourage long-term wellness and treatment plans. Maintain knowledge of current massage, bodywork and wellness techniques.
What We're Looking For Required:
Current and active Illinois Massage Therapy Licence Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology and massage techniques Confidence providing both relaxation and therapeutic massage Excellent communication and guest-service skills Professional, polished and dependable Ability to customise treatments rather than provide a one-size-fits-all massage Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Passion for wellness and creating an exceptional guest experience Nice to Have We would especially love to hear from therapists with additional training, certification or applicable licensure in: Cupping therapy Acupuncture Myofascial release Manual lymphatic drainage Prenatal massage Sports massage Hot stone massage Trigger point therapy Assisted stretching Other advanced massage or bodywork modalities Additional modalities are not required, but candidates who can bring complementary wellness expertise to Salternative Spa are highly encouraged to apply.
