Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical massage tailored to individual patient needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals. Educate patients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed treatment records, including patient progress notes and treatment plans. Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and maintaining equipment. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure comfort throughout sessions. Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology to enhance service quality. Skills Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and pain management techniques. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health and injury treatment. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required for safety compliance. Ability to build rapport with clients to foster trust and repeat business. Prior experience in med spa settings or clinical environments is a plus.
