Duties Perform a wide range of massage modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage techniques tailored to individual client needs Conduct thorough client assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safety during sessions Apply advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology to identify areas of pain or tension and develop effective pain management strategies Communicate clearly with clients regarding their treatment goals, preferences, and post-session care instructions Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client feedback, and progress notes in compliance with health regulations Ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing environment by adhering to sanitation standards and proper equipment maintenance Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and certifications such as CPR and occupational health practices to enhance service quality Experience Proven experience as a massage therapist with a strong background in diverse massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management Prior experience working in med spas or luxury wellness environments is highly desirable Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) desired; additional certifications in occupational health or specialized massage modalities are a plus Familiarity with patient assessment procedures and medical terminology to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers when necessary Join us as a Rivers Landing Luxury Massage Therapist where your expertise will elevate our clients' wellness journeys. Massage Therapist Position Classification:

Part-Time Shift:

FLEX/ Various - Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. About Rivers Landing Massage Therapy - You will provide customized, luxury body treatments in a way that prioritizes the well-being of the guest while maintaining proper body mechanics to ensure your own long-term professional health.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Is a steward of the Rivers Landing brand and follows all established standards and protocols.
• Performs exemplary services, including a variety of massage modalities (such as deep tissue and hot stone) and signature body treatments.
• Consults with guests to obtain detailed health histories, understand their needs, and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Maintains a sanitized environment, ensuring treatment rooms and tools are cleaned using approved products and procedures.
• Manages treatment room logistics, including maintaining proper inventory levels and removing soiled laundry.
• Supports team operations by assisting with laundry, opening/closing duties, and reporting maintenance issues to management.
• Engages in continuous growth, including a willingness to receive training on new procedures and performing team member services as part of cross-training.
• Collaborates effectively with other Team Members and Managers while providing a high-end experience for every guest.
• Ensures consistent attendance, which is required to perform the essential functions of this position.

EDUCATION and

EXPERIENCE

• Experienced Licensed Massage Therapist preferred.
• Luxury Spa experience is highly preferred.
• Technical proficiency in multiple modalities and a passion for the craft of massage therapy.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members to ensure a seamless service flow.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make professional decisions based on job knowledge and company goals.
• Ability to customize treatments based on a guest's specific physical needs and health history.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to be on your feet for the majority of the workday.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must have the physical stamina to perform multiple services during a single shift.
• Must utilize proper body mechanics to prevent injury to wrists and other parts of the body.

Pay:

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 10.0 per week
