JOB SUMMARY
: Massage therapists treat clients by using touch to manipulate the soft-tissues of the body. With their touch, therapists relieve pain, help rehabilitate injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Providing excellence in customer service at all times. Greeting customers and thanking them for their business. Massage therapists may use lotions, oils and massage tables or chairs, when treating a client. Talk with clients about symptoms, medical history, and desired results Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule. Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body Maintaining product knowledge to promote and sell spa and salon services, and retail products. Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture Massage therapists use touch to treat clients' injuries and to promote general wellness. They use their hands, fingers, forearms, elbows, and sometimes feet to knead muscles and soft tissues of the body. Massage therapist should use appropriate skill and technique relative to the client's needs and physical condition. Caring for linens and replacing them between sessions. Ceasing treatment and informing supervisor in the event of inappropriate guest behavior. Promote spa services and product. Following all health and safety codes and policy's Upholds high standards of sterilization and sanitation as required by law and the policies and procedures of the spa. Properly cares for spa equipment and uses recommended amounts of product to help with cost control. Interacts cooperatively with other spa team members to provide a seamless customer experience.
