Job Description:

As a Licensed Massage Therapist at Tempered Bodywork, you will be responsible for providing exceptional massage services to clients, including the application of various techniques and modalities that you would specialize in such as, but not limited to, Swedish, Shiatsu, Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral, and Traditional Thai Yoga Massage. Additionally, you will offer specialized services like Cupping, Aromatherapy, Himalayan Hot Stones, Salt Scrubs.

Responsibilities:

Conduct intake assessments to create customized treatment plans. Perform massage sessions, incorporating a variety of techniques based on client needs. Maintain accurate client records in SOAP note format. Uphold professional standards and adhere to hygiene protocols. Educate clients on the benefits of different modalities and recommend personalized wellness plans. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 500 hours of class credits from an accredited massage therapy school. Current membership in good standing with associated professional organizations (ABMP, AMTA, or NCBTMB). Active CPR/AED training certification.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach. Professionalism and a positive attitude. Empathy and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with hot stones, cupping, aromatherapy, and CBD oil. Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development. Experience with Shiatsu, Thai, or specialized modalities

Work Schedule:

Part-time position with a minimum of 19 hours per week. Schedule (Required Availability)

Supplemental Pay Types:

Tips Compensation Reviews:

Compensation is reviewed after the first 90 days and every 6 months thereafter. Pay increases are based on booked percentage, client retention, professionalism, reliability, and overall contribution to the practice.
