Embody Performance & Recovery | Kirkwood, MO Part-Time or Full-Time | W-2 Employment or Independent Room Rental Embody Performance & Recovery is looking for a skilled, personable Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team in Kirkwood, Missouri. We are a performance and recovery practice that brings chiropractic care, rehabilitation, strength training, recovery, and hands-on care together under one roof.
Our goal is simple:
to help people feel better, move better, build capacity, and stay active doing the things that matter to them. Massage therapy is an important part of that approach, and we're looking for a therapist who can meet each client where they are rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. The Kind of Therapist We're Looking For Some clients may benefit from therapeutic or sports-focused massage, myofascial work, and more focused pressure to address muscular tension and discomfort. Others may come in stressed, guarded, or simply needing an opportunity to slow down and recover. For them, a calming massage focused on relaxation and recovery may be exactly what they need. We're looking for a therapist who can recognize those differences, communicate well with the client, and adapt each session accordingly. This could be a great fit for someone who enjoys working with active adults, people managing aches and musculoskeletal concerns, strength-training clients, and individuals looking to make recovery a regular part of their routine. Why Embody? An established patient and client community You won't be starting completely from scratch. Our chiropractors, trainers, and staff already work with an active community of patients and members who regularly seek additional recovery and hands-on care. Internal referrals and marketing support We'll actively introduce massage therapy to the Embody community and help connect you with existing patients and members who may benefit from your services. A collaborative environment You'll work alongside chiropractors and strength professionals who value communication, individualized care, and helping people stay active. An established treatment space The massage room is already set up and includes an electric height-adjustable massage table. Flexible scheduling We're open to creating a schedule that works well for both the therapist and our clients. This position can begin part-time and grow as demand increases, with the potential to develop into a fuller schedule. A no-tip practice Embody is a no-tip practice. We believe in transparent, professional pricing and have structured therapist compensation with that in mind. What We're Looking For Current Missouri massage therapy license in good standing Strong hands-on skills and confidence adapting pressure and technique to the individual Therapeutic massage, sports massage, and/or myofascial experience preferred Ability to provide both treatment-focused and relaxation-focused massage based on the client's needs Personable, dependable, and professional Strong communication skills Comfortable collaborating with chiropractors and strength professionals when appropriate A genuine interest in helping people recover, move well, and stay active Experienced therapists are welcome, but an established client base is not required . Newer therapists with strong skills, professionalism, and the right mindset are also encouraged to apply. Two Ways to Join Embody W-2 Employment For a therapist who wants to become part of the Embody team, we're open to starting part-time and helping build your schedule through internal referrals and marketing.
Compensation:
$55-65 per completed 70-minute massage appointment Scheduling is flexible, with room to grow as demand increases. Independent Room Rental For an established massage therapist who operates independently or already has a client base, we're also open to discussing a room-rental arrangement. This option may be a great fit for someone who wants the independence of running their own massage practice while working within an established performance and recovery environment alongside chiropractors and strength professionals. Therapists with an existing client base are welcome to bring their clients with them. About Embody At Embody, we believe performance and recovery belong together. Sometimes people need to move, strengthen, load, and build capacity. Other times they need hands-on care, recovery, and an opportunity to slow down and reset. We believe a great massage therapist can play an important role on both sides. If that approach resonates with you, we'd love to hear from you! We are currently interviewing and hope to add the right therapist to our team soon.
