Responsibilities:
- Perform various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to address clients' specific needs
- Conduct physical examinations and patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Provide acute pain management and relief for clients with musculoskeletal issues
- Utilize knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to inform massage treatments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment plans and progress notes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors or physical therapists, to coordinate patient care
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and exercises to enhance the benefits of massage therapy
- Ensure a high level of patient service and satisfaction by delivering personalized and professional care
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or license as a Massage Therapist
- Proficiency in various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to conduct physical examinations and assess patients' needs effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and ergonomics is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
