Responsibilities Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and prenatal massage to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current issues, and treatment goals. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for pain management and stress relief. Maintain detailed treatment records, ensuring accurate documentation of services provided and client progress. Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort, address concerns, and tailor treatments accordingly. Stay current with industry trends and expand your skills in physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and specialized massage techniques to enhance client outcomes. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification. Proven experience in massage therapy with knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Skilled in various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage and prenatal massage. Strong patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively. Knowledge of pain management strategies. Previous experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Will train!
