Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Independent Contractor Massage Therapist, where your expertise will help clients achieve relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. In this role, you will provide personalized massage therapy sessions tailored to each client's needs, utilizing your skills in various massage techniques and deep understanding of human physiology. As a self-employed professional, you will manage your schedule and client relationships while delivering exceptional patient service in a supportive environment committed to health and well-being. Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and medical massage to address client-specific concerns. Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health conditions and goals. Paperwork is kept to a minimum with ongoing staff assist. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain treatment procedures, and provide guidance on post-massage care. Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, client progress, and relevant medical information following industry standards and confidentiality protocols. Stay current with industry best practices by continuing education in areas such as physiology knowledge, pain management techniques, and med spa trends. Promote excellent customer service by building rapport with clients, scheduling appointments efficiently, and encouraging repeat visits. Experience Proven experience as a licensed massage therapist with a strong background in multiple massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, and trigger point therapy. Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient needs and deliver effective treatments. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients about their treatment plans and health concerns. Occupational health awareness to maintain hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination. Pluses-familiar with the 1099 employment designation, experience in a medical setting, previous work a a CNA, experience with medically complex clients, experience with veterans. $70.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 8.0 per week
