Massage Therapy License Licensed Massage Therapist Full Job Description Title of Job Position:
Sports Massage Therapist (LMBT)
Description:
The massage therapist must have and maintain a current NC state license. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating clients with various muscle testing/massage modalities, suggesting a stretching/at home treatment plan, and keep detailed S.O.A.P. notes on each client. They should have a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, knowledge of various massage modalities, and be able to effectively communicate with the client. Helping build a clientle base will be vitale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Scheduling of clients through our online scheduling software, over the phone, or via internet. Practice hygiene and other sanitary procedures in the office, the treatment room, and with the massage table, before and after working with a client. Maintain proper internal paperwork/treatment records. Handle and complete the fee transactions after each session. Discuss with the client, in detail, the course of treatment, given the physical health of the client, any previous injuries/accidents, and/or any other medical professionals recommendations. Conduct themselves professionally while clients are in the office. Arrive at the office with ample time to have office/treatment room ready for client. Required Skills Have good communication skills both verbal and written. Possess superb customer service skills. Team player. Have a willingness to learn Must be friendly and patient Education and Experience; Graduate from an accredited massage school. Minimum of 2 years experience in the massage industry - previous sports massage experience is recommended, but not required. Prior pre/post-event experience recommended, but not required.
