Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including medical massage and trigger point therapy to target specific areas of discomfort. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs, health history, and treatment goals. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to develop effective treatment plans. Educate clients on self-care practices and occupational health strategies to maintain results between sessions. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with health regulations. Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all clients, adhering to hygiene standards and safety protocols. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to optimize patient care and pain management strategies. Skills Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques to customize massage therapy plans effectively. Expertise in medical massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management approaches. Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage. Knowledge of occupational health principles to support clients' physical well-being at work or during recovery. Previous experience in med spas or similar settings is highly desirable for delivering advanced treatments.
