Position Overview ORO Private Club is seeking a licensed and insured Massage Therapist to join our wellness team as an independent contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist to build a client base within a private, upscale club setting, offering a wide range of therapeutic and relaxation services alongside premium spa amenities including Infrared Sauna, Cold Plunge, and Steam. As an independent contractor, the therapist will operate their own practice within our facility, setting appointments to align with club member demand and their own availability. Services and Techniques The ideal candidate is proficient in a broad range of modalities and comfortable tailoring sessions to individual member needs, including: Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage Relaxation (Swedish) Massage Sports Massage Graston Technique / Gua Sha Therapy Stretch Therapy — including Thai Table Stretch and general assisted stretching Reflexology Stretch Therapy and massage sessions should be available in 30-, 45-, and 60-minute formats to accommodate member preferences and scheduling needs. Club Amenities In addition to hands-on services, therapists will work within a spa environment that features: Infrared Sauna Cold Plunge Steam Room Familiarity with these modalities is a plus, as therapists may be asked to advise members on complementary use of these amenities before or after their session. Schedule and Availability This role requires a flexible schedule to meet member demand across all club hours. Candidates must be able to provide availability across the following time blocks: Mornings Afternoons Evenings Weekends Exact days and hours are flexible and will be coordinated directly with club management based on member bookings and therapist availability. Qualifications and Requirements Current state massage therapy license in good standing Active professional liability (malpractice) insurance Minimum of 5 years of professional massage therapy experience Demonstrated proficiency in Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Sports Massage, Graston/Gua Sha, Stretch Therapy (including Thai Table Stretch), and Reflexology Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to a private club, member-focused environment Professional, polished presentation consistent with an upscale club atmosphere Reliable, punctual, and able to manage own scheduling as an independent contractor CPR/First Aid certification preferred Independent Contractor Engagement This is a 1099 independent contractor position; the therapist is responsible for their own taxes, licensing renewal, and insurance coverage Therapist supplies own massage certifications and maintains continuing education as required by state licensing board Club provides treatment room, linens, and standard spa equipment; therapist may bring preferred oils/tools as needed within club guidelines Compensation structure (per-session rate or revenue share) to be discussed and outlined in the independent contractor agreement How to
